ATi All in Wonder 9700 Pro?
I'm thinking about getting ATi All in Wonder 9700 Pro for my next video card, just wanted to know if any one out their has one. i've seen a lot of reviews, but i'd like to here from someone that owns one to see if its worth the $.

I have one. It works fine for me. I had a few problems initially, but, I did a bios flash and updated the ATI drivers and it works fine.
If you do a search of the TFP, you will see a few threads concerning this very issue. Your post might even get moved to one of the other threads. |
I have it. It works fine, but make sure you install it correctly the first time, or it'll give you hell.
Also don't forget to take advantage of the two monitor capability. |
Mine doesn't do dual monitors, but you van connect it to a tv while using the monitor. You need to look at your power supply also, 300w minimum, very minimum.

My friend has an older one....It's a very nice and handy card....the tv tuner feature is nice...digital vcr is very tits...video editing and yes it is a good gaming card....
|
A must for video cards, and especially for anything recent: make sure you keep up on updating drivers. The right driver set can make or break your performance level. Get what you paid for!!!

The 9700AIW rocks. Defintly worth buying and a great performer :) go for it
|
Got one in my new PC and LOVE it. No probs so far. Hope you enjoy yours if you get one.
|
I would just get a 9700 pro, and buy a Tv Tuner card. Eventually you will upgrade the aiw and will lose the tv capabilities. Plus the 9700 pro and tv tuner would be cheaper.
|
i'd say if you can afford 9700, go w/ 9800 all in wonder card.
heard it's the best damn one |
i heard 9800 is not much of an improvement over 9700. Like 5 extra fps in recent games.
|
I heard you need a spare floppy disk cable for it to run, true?
|
The 9700 is about as good as the 9800 from what I hear, and I *believe* you can mod the 9700 to be superior to the 98
|
My 9700 does have a floppy drive power cord heading into it.
