Satellite (sirius) portable radios
 

I have a Serius converter it my car I LOVE IT...I listen to NO LONGER listen to commercial radio....sorry the screaming car ads make me crazy...
Now...I have been trying to research a small unit to take on my walks, without all the hype about these things...do you guys have any input.

I always felt paying for radio service was an alien concept.

Sirius and XM (the same?) have some great stations for talk and music. It beats listening to the ultra-shit FM dial any day. I'm interested in finding an answer to this question too. A while back I looked up a similar question, but I found nothing.

I have had Satellite since October 2005 and my wife's car got it 2 months later. I drive in Washington DC Beltway traffic everyday and to NYC every 6 or 8 weeks plus Inlaw visit trips to Georgia and Florida at least once every 2 years so it is a necessity and not a luxury. My wife didn't even care if she had it in her car when I hooked it up but a business trip to Pittsburg changed that. She can't even find Testicular Radio anymore.I got the Lifetime membership so it has been free for the last year and a half. Right now the Portables are limited to the ones that I'm sure you have already seen in your research but some new models are due to come out soon. I would think that we should start seeing them before Xmas.
