A request from someone in over their head
Hi all,
I have a small request (or at least it should be small for some of you). I am trying to make our new office position more efficient. I have been trying, to no avail, to make a simple dispatch call log software myself. I would appreciate it if someone would be willing to help me create this software. It doesn't have to be pretty at all, just functional. A local HTML form on the user's desktop would be fine. It should automatically record the date and time (in some way) and be completely "mouse free". I want it to be all keyboard. The dispatcher will receive a call and refresh the page to refresh the date and time, then the cursor will autofocus on the "name" field so the dispatcher can just go right into typing in the information. They will also need to select a pickup location, dropoff location (both from dropdown menus), type in a phone number, select a driver, and maybe set the dispatcher field when they arrive and it will stay the same the whole shift. Then the dispatcher would press enter and it would be somehow stored in a spreadsheet that my (non tech-savvy) boss can easily peruse. I will give more specific details on what I need if anyone is willing to help. Thank you! |
