Guys anyone here using keep-it-on.com Green PC application? It's a small app that run on your computer and uses some of your PC's computing power to process some information and send it back to their servers.

In return you will earn money for the trouble.

The only problem is, seems like the pay out is way too much from other similar programs. I'm trying it out with my work PC (just to be safe) and I earned $2.10 already for the past 24 hours.

You will only get paid when you reach $100 which is about 1.5 months at my current earnings. Earning is based on your PC's computing power and internet connection. So newer computers with fast internet will earn more.

Now, is this a scam? Is this legit? Can't seem to find anyting saying it is a scam nor it is legit.

What's your take?

first thing i would think is that it's spyware and they are just going to steal your money and send you back some of it... but maybe not?

the webpage makes it sound like use everyones computer to create a massive render farm but i can't imagine something like this being used 24x7.. they articles that they link to appear to just be copies of a press release that the company issued stating that it's a "Biological Software Company" which differs from the website.

when thinking about the claims, i don't think that this is really "green" or "recycling"... you are leaving hundreds of computers turned on to only a small amount of resources on each one when you could just have a few computers turned on using all of their resources.

as for the site, i googled and found one report about the site not paying: Ripoff Report: keep-it-on.com Green pc Non Payment ! Internet

i ran a who-is search on the site, they registered the domain name using a private service to prevent the owners identity from being known... and the do not list contact info on the site other than a info@keep-it-on email address...

it is quite possible that this is a legit small business venture someone is doing.... but given the facts i don't think i would bother with this, I don't like to leave my computers on.

Thank you for the time replying to my message. The only reason I am trying it out because my work computer is online and should be online 24/7 and I saw this from one blog. So far no virus or malwaer warnings from my anti virus.

I got $9 (3 days) so far for doing absolutely nothing and I think thats way too much earning thats why I'm doubting it if its legit or scam
