Ok, go to Malwarebytes.org. There should be a blue button on the left side of the page that says "Download Free Version". Click it and follow the links till you get to download the program. Run the program after you finished downloading it. Follow the steps through the program to install it (it should update automatically). Once the program updates and finishes installing, it should run automatically.
When the program starts up, run a full scan. Go hang out with your wife, this might take awhile. Check on it every 20 minutes or so. When it is finished, click the button tthat says "Show results". Tell it to remove spyware and let it restart your computer. After restarting, run it again. If it comes back clean the second time, you are golden bobby (repeat scans if it comes back with more warnings)! Thank you for the porn, bobby. Hopes this helps you out. If you get stuck, PM me. |

It's my recommendation to run the quick scan first (4~22 min) then the full scan (90~180 min). I've encountered malware, especially the sophistocated scareware, that can mask files from scanners. I've found it best to run the quick scan to knock out the heavy-duty nasties, then the full scan. I've never encountered an instance where Malwarebytes found anything after a quick 'n' full combo.
I try to run Malwarebytes quick scans every week, and a full scan once a month. I recommend installing Spybot Search & Destroy. The spyware scanner doesn't do much for me but the browser immunizations, as far as I know, are useful (no proof). The ultimate protection against such things from happening is to run your browser through Sandboxie. Applications are run in a virtual space, and then Sandboxie kills all processes and can even be set to delete the virtual space! Sandboxie is literally a condom for your computer. Do the nasty with all those sites that claim to be clean, tie it off and throw away.
