Problem using 3D Mark 2001 SE
 

Any ideas on why I can't get past the 2nd Benchmark test while running 3D Mark 2001 SE?

The first test goes without a hitch, then the 2nd one fucks up.

Any ideas?

It can be so much...

Some problem with the video driver install, problem with directx, unstability becuase of overclockeing, winXP(or whatever winOS you're running) beeing generally messed up needing reinstall, mainboard related problem (either drivers or bios) etc, etc.

does normal gameing work with no bluescreens or lockups?
Is it just 3dmark 2001?

if all other games work nicely, reinstall (in order) and test after each one.
1. 3dmark 2001
2. video drivers
3. directX.

how are your framerates?

if it's struggling to render the first part, then your computer may just be too slow.
