IR signal repeater
I am looking to install a IR signal repeater. Id like to hang my new TV and not have anything sitting under it. I was going to put everything into the closet and send the signal there. But I am looking for a good repeater. I was thinking something that is small that I can attach to the TV its self or something I can mount into the wall.
I have been doing some searching for this type of stuff but I am unsure about some of the stuff I am finding so far. If anyone can point me in the right direction that would be great. Thanks Eric,

I have both a hardwired IR receiver (MCE remote @ newegg) hanging just under one HDTV, and a Radio Shack IR repeater on the first floor going through two walls (stairway) up to my computer room.
The Radio Shack repeaters work better for my stereo than for the MCE IR receiver, but I think it is because the transmitter will catch and re-broadcast signals that it picks up. So, if you used your remote in your closet, you get double button presses and such. The other thing is that the alignment of the remote to the IR receiver is more important than I realized. |
