What are your parameters here? Free only? Off-the-beaten-track?
I assume you have Shazam? Pandora? Darkslide is an excellent Flickr client. Yelp is great. The Google Mobile application is a must-have. A few (FEW) things I've spent money on include Katamari Damacy, Peggle and Slotz. |

I'm looking for apps that are useful, serve an almost daily purpose (reusable), and are worth the price - whatever it is (or free).
I'm not a game guy; I just want to collect some useful apps. And thanks for the website Red; i'll check it out.

Easy Wi-Fi is good for accessing AT&T wifi in airports, coffee shops, etc.
White Pages and Yellow Pages are handy Google Earth is cool for a bit PhoneFlix is a NetFlix client Full Screen is a browser that has a bit more screen real estate and doesn't keep a history Sound Grenade set off in the food court in the mall makes the emo boy's mascara run Snap Tell is good for book shopping AccuWeather I like TheBike is a good free bike trip computer The eBay app is useful if you use eBay Pocket Tunes is not free but I did buy it to listen to Sirius on my iPhone. Edit: That photoswap app has been something. I get a lot of pictures of hairy legs from guys wanting to see my boobs.

Here are some that I've discovered and would recommend:
Kindle - obviously if you have a Kindle it makes this one even better. Syncs right with your Kindle library. RedLaser - Use your phone to "scan" any barcode and it will tell you what the item is, search for best online prices, and search for best local prices. Talk about taking the pain out of comparison shopping! iPicasso - This is especially awesome if you use Picasa software for managing your digipics. MLB.com - Any real baseball fan should have it. DirecTV - A must have if you subscribe to DirecTV. Opentable - Great for people who eat out a lot, or want to find a restaurant at a moment's notice and make reservations. The Weather Channel - More powerful than the standard weather app. ScoreCenter - Great for sports fans.

Here are my top apps (the ones I use all the time):
Stanza - EBook reader. You can load your own epub formatted books onto it. My top app, usewise no question. IMDb - I don't think I need to explain this one. Shazam - Need to know what that song on the radio is? Tag it in seconds. Gibson Learn and Master Guitar - Tuner, lessons, metronome, ect. Sportacular - Best sports score app imo. iFitness - Workout demonstrations and recording. RunKeeper Free - GPS map your runs and keep track of your progress. MotionX GPS Drive - Cheapest driving GPS app. Works really well for me. Couple of games I keep going back to: Plants vs. Zombies, 2 Across, Fieldrunners, and Trisim

If anyone wants an awesome cookbook on their iPhone/iPod Touch, the new How to Cook Everything app (Mark Bittman's famous cookbook) is $1.99 for a limited time. I am going to get it for my SO's iPod, because while I have the vegetarian How to Cook Everything, it will be nice to have as a reference.
