Driver version discrepancy - Tilted Forum Project Discussion Community

Under device manager my ATI Radeon 4800 series is listed as version 8.591
Under Dxdiag it's listed as 6.14
The website and installer lists it as 9.3
ATI Catalyst? Display Driver

So which the heck is it?

ATI lists releases on their website as year.month (9.3). Internally, Radeon numbers them differently related to the drivers structure, changes and such, which is the 8.591. I'm not sure what the 6.14 is.
