graphics cards
I just got a new computer with what i thought was a good graphics card at 256mb. This although, seems to only be able to play the most simplest games with any clear graphics. Ive read on other forums that 512mb doesnt make much of a difference. Is that true? So is there any way to tell if my motherboard is compatible with the new crossfire technology. And how does this work? Do you just have 2 graphics card slots?

We need more details before we can give any defenite answer.
As for your MB, search the manufactures website (or your manuals) for info on that. Crossfire is ATI techology, NVidia has SLI, the MB's chipset can only support one of these, if it does at all. Yours ZB.

It sounds like you need to get rid of your old videocard and buy a new one. You don't want to get into Crossfire technology (which is using 2 videocards at once) unless you're an enthusiast. And yes, those people are right, the memory (MB) on the videocard doesn't have a whole lot to do with its performance.
Run SIW and it will tell you all about your computer: http://www.gtopala.com/download/siw-setup.exe

Of those expansion slots you would only want to use the PCIe x16 slot and I'm preatty sure that you will be limited to low profile card.
You will also be limited by the 250W psu. When I googled this problem among other things this linke here came up Question on Video card for 250W power supply Dell Stuio Slim - Computer Forums Yours ZB
