Cracking DVD region codes
Does anyone know of good software (free or pay) that can crack the DVD region codes? I've got a great movie on DVD that is coded for Europe and I'd like to be able to play it in North American DVD players. I can play it on my laptop no problem (mainly cause I've got AnyDVD which removes the region code for the player, but not for copying), but that's it.

DVD Shrink 3.2. Also freeware. I have used this on several live band DVDs that I have purchased from overseas

I'm not a fan of that decrypting and what have you...
free your dvd player. sometimes when I travel to hotels I look up their player and make it region free :) the only problem you may have is if the DVD is region 2 and PAL, most can play it back still but it will be a bit odd shaped, IF it was PAL encoded. Some say PAL and don't encode it. Since I travel and get DVDs from all over the world, I bought a region free DVD with NTSC and PAL. It's a nice thing, not expensive either. Thanks for the response everyone. I'm trying out DVD Decrypter (the first burn wasn't successful, so I went back and re-read the site instructions and tweaked a few more settings), and I had no idea you could region-free your DVD player! Thanks Cyn!
