Web Design Tutorial - Tilted Forum Project Discussion Community

I was wondering if anyone could help me find a good web design tutorial either online or a dvd walkthrough. I do have some experience programming, but nothing in web design.

There's a million links on google to try and it would be great if someone had a good one that helped them to get me pointed in the right direction.

It all really depends on what you're trying to do.

Also, what program you're using. If you're hard coding everything, then I'd look up the barebones html guide. It's not a tutorial, just a kind of handbook. If you're using Dreamweaver, to the best of my knowledge, it has some tutorials in it itself.

Head over to Smashing Magazine; it has just about every kind of web design (illustrator, dreamweaver, flash, photoshop, etc) tutorial you could want as well as a lot of inspiration.
