I-Touch Problems

I've been having a re-occurring problem with my I-Touch and I'm hoping yall can help me.

I load mp3 files into my touch through Itunes, and about 20% of them don't play. They either A) sit at 0:00 time for about 6 seconds until forwarding to the next song, or B) play 0 sound until about 0:06sec before forwarding again.

I've checked and verified they are mp3 files, not mp4 or other, and nothing in the file name seems different from other working files.

I understand this is probably the result of the method of downloading, however they work with songbird and even Itunes which confounds the hell out of me. I've wiped clean both Itunes library and Itouch and reloaded, yet the problems continue. The most confusing part... each time some of the old songs which didn't work do, and vice versa.

Please help... it's annoying as hell.

Any chance you can mark out which ones specifically don't play, and then check some of their data? If you could look at the file properties / summary of a "good" mp3 that plays versus a "bad" one - that gives data like the bitrate, etc to see if we can find some sort of discrepancy between files that causes this.

Also, can you can you clarify on the two things below:

Do you mean the method of sending the mp3 files over to the Touch? How do you accomplish this now?

Also, do you mean sometimes the 20% of the songs work fine, and the normal 80% don't, and then this switches?

But they all play in songbird / itunes?

Bitrate are the same.

By method of download I mean illegal, bit-torrent.

By vice-versa I mean I wipe the Ipod, and re-synch. A song which worked before then turns and does not work, and a song which didn't will occasionally start to work again.
