ISO image info please :)

I have an iso image of a CD. How do I "extract" the files from this single monstrous file that I have?

Uh, it really ought to, since ISO is a proprietary CD image file type. You can open the file with UltraISO, WInRAR, ISO Buster, WinISO, etc.

ISO means "same". It is the "nickname" of the International Organization of Standardization. The file system used on data CDs, if they are "standard", are ISO9660. So what you have is an image of a CD. Think of it like a snapshot that you need some special kind of glasses to see. It's not compressed data, it's alien (to your hard-drive's file system) data.

best way to get things out of that, is to burn it. Roxio's software burns em, i'm not sure what else will on the PC side... good luck

Nero should be able to burn that easily as well as anything else from Roxio/Adaptec. Disc Juggler can burn them as well - several apps can. You could also just load the disc up in something like Daemon Tools and do what you need with the contents of the iso.
