Id3 tagger
Does anyone know of a program that will analyze mp3s and based upon that analysis set the id3 tags?
-----Added 27/10/2008 at 05 : 04 : 49----- I found a program to do it! Welcome to MusicBrainz! - MusicBrainz This is awesome. It even embeds album art. Last edited by Rekna; 10-27-2008 at 01:04 PM.. Reason: Automerged Doublepost |

I just started tagging my music after I switched to a Mac 10 days ago. I got 55 done, and probably 945 to go. And that is only the good songs that I want to listen to in iTunes.
I am very interested in seeing if this program will do it for me. It would take me until next summer at the rate I am going. |

You can also add a plugin which searches for album art. Right now my only complaint is that songs can be ambiguous. That is a song can belong to many albums. In these cases I wish it would put the song on the album that is the most complete. Right now I think it just chooses arbitrarily.

I use a program called Media Monkey, it grabs all pertinent info from Amazon including album art, although it's not automatic, you have to select the album you want to grab info for, which I prefer so it doesn't go wreck havoc for my collection before I realized what happened.

I replied within this thread on the issue a while ago.
I have found onodrim/SecretMethod70's recommendation of 'TagScanner' to be one of the most resourceful tools I have utilized to categorize my music library. Near flawless in application.
