You're gonna love the hardware
Sorry I haven't been able to help lately. My boss has me backlogged for several days in helpdesk work, so when I get home I can't do any more support LOL. I gotta take a break 0_o The XFX is slower. I wouldn't get it. If you can handle the rebate, the evga will be slightly faster and no need to mess with overclocking to get there - they already did it for you XFX: GPU GeForce GTX 260 Core clock 576MHz Stream Processors 216 processing cores Memory Clock 2000MHz Memory Size 896MB Memory Interface 448-bit Memory Type GDDR3 evga: GPU GeForce GTX 260 Core clock 626MHz Stream Processors 216 processing cores Memory Clock 2106MHz Memory Size 896MB Memory Interface 448-bit Memory Type GDDR3 I'll add that I buy evga only, but mainly because XFX didn't have the wide-coverage warranty that evga does back when I started buying from them. They should be a good company, but not sure on their overclocking and heatsink removal policies. I can do anything but solder on my evga cards. I know evga has my back, no clue on XFX.

I hate relying on rebates and the XFX has FarCry 2 bundled with it. Nothing other than that. Rebates can sometimes take months to return (if they do at all). The OC versions of videocards are never that much faster than the regular versions either. 1-3% better typically if at all. I do actually prefer EVGA, though XFX has a good reputation as well.

Pieces got her and the build is complete. My cabling job....well....it reflects the fact that I haven't done this before. Maybe one day I'll go back in and get things cleaned up a bit. I probably should. I'm not totally sure how to at this juncture, but it was a good time putting it all together.

I'm too busy gaming on the new machine to post from it. The posting happens from my little macbook that I keep around for web surfing and IMing and crap. Not that it would tax me much to do so, but why alt-tab when you don't have to?
