SBC global DSL
So this is going to be a weird question. But my family owns a business. And at this business we have SBC global DSL. And we our house is at that business. Where we also have SBC global. And between the 2 nets we spend almost 100$ a month. Now I would like to be able to combine them and only have 1 net between both buildings. We use very little net at work. It has about 10 computers hooked to it.
Here is my problem. The website and email for the business is setup threw the home net services. So If I cancel the home net I may lose email and website for the business. And I cant cancel the business email and use the home. It wouldnt work right in the books for the business. So here is my question. Right now to work on the website and etc you login my email threw home and go threw there. If I cancel my net service threw SBC global will I lose my website and email. And if I dont lose them how do I login to change them? Sorry this is so complicated and sounds crazy.

Not a weird question, but you definitely need to clean up your networking and webspace practices.
So you're using SBC email/webspace (ISP-based) for home and business accounts? Bad idea. Use the ISP to get to the web, and use 3rd parties for everything else on the web. That said, go check out a site like bluehost. Buy a domain or move your current one to their services. Create new or copy your old business website to it via FTP. Usually with any business package, they offer email service at no extra charge. Now you have webspace at your_business.com and email @ your_business.com. On top of that it doesn't matter who you use for an ISP, because it's still the same web ![]()
