Thinking about getting this printer
 

I'm in need of a new printer as my old one just is not working anymore. Plus I'd like to get one with scanning ability and being able to print CD and DVD media. I was looking at this printer Epson Artisan 800, Overview - Product Information - Epson America, Inc. as it seems to be pretty fully featured, and while pricey it seems like it should do everything I need while having room to grow. For example WiFi is not a feature I need now, but if I get a laptop in the future it would be nice.

Does anybody have any suggestions for any other printers that can do what this one can, or have used this printer.

I haven`t used it but my 1st tip for anyone buying a printer is to check for ink prices.

It shouldn`t cost you more than 10cents a page. most printers will be closer to 5cents a page witch is much better.
