Does anyone insert graphics in gmail messages?
I googled it. The advice given was to host a photo somewhere, anywhere, and use the link button in the RTF menu to insert it into the message.
I was not surprised when a link to the graphic, instead of the actual graphic, appeared in the message. Anyone have an answer to what I assume is a very simple question? Thanks. |

I'm with you, I have a cool little signature of my gmail addy that i wanted to put in all my messages, but the same thing happened, it makes a link to the image instead of coding it into the message itself.

I just do attachments.
Thing is, doesn't matter what you set up, if the other person doesn't have HTML enabled in email. I think in that case it would most likely just be one or a series of attachments.

Google is my friend. The first time I tried this, it didn't work. However, after I learned to read, it worked.
Image must be hosted somewhere on the web. If the image appears on a page together with other items: Click on the image with the right mouse button. Select View Image from the menu. Hit Ctrl-A (Windows, Linux) or Command-A to highlight the image. Hit Ctrl-C (Windows, Linux) or Command-C. Make sure rich text editing is turned on in the Gmail message you are composing. If you can see a Rich formatting » link above the editing area, click it. Position the cursor in the Gmail message where you want the image to appear. Hit Ctrl-V (Windows, Linux) or Command-V. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- It's only a deal if it's where you want to go. Find your travel deal here. |
