Is this a good deal on a dell laptop??
Okay, so I need a laptop for school, I used to be fairly techie in my youth but have completly lost touch for atleast the past three years. I just ordered this from dell's website, I've been looking there and at newegg.com seriously, and less seriously at wal-mart and best-buy, for the past month. I would like to know if I got a good deal or not. I paid $749 total, that includes tax with free shipping. The basic stats are like this...
Inspiron 1525, Intel Core 2 Duo T5750, 2.0GHz, 667Mhz, 2M L2 Cache 3GB, DDR2, 667MHz 2 Dimm 15.4 inch Wide Screen WXGA+ LCD TrueLife 250G 5400RPM SATA Hard Drive Microsoft Windows Vista SP1 Home Basic Edition, English 8X DVD+/-RW Dual Layer Drive Integrated 2.0M Pixel Webcam Dell Wireless 1395 802.11g Mini Card I also spent $50 extra for a "high definition" screen, going from 1280x800 to 1400x900 I think.. Was that worthwhile? Maybe I should have asked these questions before buying it... |
You got a good deal. I paid 1400 for mine a year ago, but I got a gaming card so it was more expensive. It is also a 17in screen.

Looks like a good deal to me but i never use laptops for anything other then web surfing so a $300 pos laptop is good enough for me.

You could have got a better deal but you definitely did not get ripped off. At best you could have saved $150ish if you waited for the right deal so you did pretty good.
