Rounded ATA cables and me
 

Anyone know if/where I can get shorter rounded ATA cables? I have 18", but it's really a lot longer than I need. The way my new motherboard is set up, the secondary IDE connecter is directly lined up with the CDROMs, so I could really get away with like...6 inches. I've never seen such a beast, does it exist?

Duh, forgot to specify...I'm looking for short dual-device cables, not single.

Interestingly, I can't find ANY dual device IDE cables that are shorter than 18"...I know they were made at some point, because I had one in an old Pavilion I had a long time ago...it had a little 6" cable that was the exact length needed, no more, no less...

You can make your own cables, actualy. You just need connectors and a roll of cable. to round it, fold it and use zip ties.

Well if it was in an HP then it was likely custom made for HP.

I can't say that I've ever seen a single device 10" rounded cable. I wish I had because I too am stuck with an 18" that I don't need.

I've seen dozens of single device cables that are 10". I want a dual device cable.
