Dell Outlet
 

I am currently in the market for a new laptop and a monitor to go along with it. I've currently got a Dell Latitude D820 and am happy with it so I've been looking at Dells. Do any of you guys and gals have any experience with Dell Outlet? I've found some pretty good deals and am curious as to whether or not the quality is on par with buying stuff new.

I wish I could say the same regarding my past purchases from Dell. I purchased a laptop and desktop sytem from them and have had bad time with both.

Dell outlet is what you see is what you get. The products a return or refurbished items. So make sure you check to see what you're getting. There is a link that tells you why the unit is for sell on the outlet site. IE: cosmetic damage, wrong O/S installed etc....

I've used the Dell outlet and the computer was excellent. Did not have any problems and it looked and worked like it was brand new. Good luck!

Well, thank you, everybody. I'll let y'all know how it goes when I finally get around to buying a monitor.

I bought a Vostro 1500 back in December as a Christmas gift for myself and it's been flawless... I absolutely love it.

Just FYI, I paid an extra $70 or so (I don't remember the exact number off the top of my head - it's been awhile) for another year warranty on top of the year it came withSome people believe warranties are crap, but on electrical things, especially refurbed computers/parts, I think it's worth the peace of mind.

i would just say buyer beware and do your homework.. i once had purchased a dell dj pocket which for the first year and a half worked with no glitches than for a year i had problems with the screen and the headphones spot kept dying so just be careful cos once something happens be prepared to deal with tech support from some country where your asked about the weather where you live and how they hate their jobs.

Does anyone know if the refurbished products come with any sort of guarantee or warranty ?
