Bellsouth DSL
 

I just ordered a Bellsouth DSL. I did so on the internet. Rather than pay $100 to have it "professionally" installed Bellsouth indicated that I could do so myself. I know nothing about where or how to install a DSL modem. I opted for the usb hookup rather than the port which looked like something my machine does not have. I have a Dell 4400. I would greatly appreciate any advise anyone could give...........Thanks:confused:

follow the instructions and you shouldn't have any problems. I've been through several installations of Bellsouth's dsl with friends and they've all been very straight forward.

Don't sweat it. It shouldn't be too bad.

They'll probably send you an external DSL modem, possibly some filters to put on your phones (inline with the cords), and a CD.

Put the stuff together, install the CD, and you should be on your way.
