Need a better proxy plugin for Firefox
I have multiple proxy configurations: Home, School, and Tor. I am either at school or at home, but while at these locations I must have a specific proxy settings. This makes the Tor button, installed along with the Vidalia package, useless as activating Tor in FF (2.0.0.14) removes my previous Proxy settings! I want a simple button I click on a FF tab that allows me to change to a different proxy setting WITHOUT changing the global browser settings.
I have been using various proxy plugins- Proxy Toolbar, SwitchProxy Tool, FoxyProxy- and none accomplish what I have in mind. Each have their advantages but none do what I am looking for. Proxy Toolbar changes the proxy settings of all open tabs, as does Switch. Foxy is the best so far, as it can automatically route Internet through the desired proxy, however this is not sophisticated for the ads that are placed on the pages. This is why I just want to select the desired proxy for individual tabs. Are there plugins that I am missing? My solution so far is having a separate browser configured to route through Tor... but I would rather have all my websites available at once through my one window open... Yes I have issues.

Sorry, Augi. I dug around but can't seem to find one that'll change the proxy settings per tab. I was going to suggest the Switchproxy Tool - which I use extensively - until I read further into your post.
I'll let you know if I come across anything.

FoxyProxy?
You can configure it to use different proxies for different sites... I do this to keep google from tracking my searches when I'm logged into gmail... They go through privoxy which filters out the tracking cookie. Yes, I'm a tad paranoid.

Still, there are advertisements on these pages that I also want routed through Tor. It would be too time consuming adding EACH string to route the advertisements through Tor via FoxyProxy. It would be easier just to click a button that let FF know I wanted this tab to go through Tor. So far, the best solution is just having a separate browser configured.
