Deleting drop barrs
I was curious as to how i can delete the preset information on my drop bars particularly the one in the address line of my browser (internet explorer). In addition i was wondering how to delete and/or remove the drop bars i get in google that try to complete your search for you based on the spelling in relationship to previously searched. It also applied to TFP when i log in because i've made mistakes trying to log in when i type O in the password line (for opentocomments) I have three choises of already spelled out names op, open, and opentocomments just becuase i've tried to login without typing out my whole username. How can i reset that?

In Firefox you can do the same, or you can delete individual menu options by hovering the mouse over it and hitting SHIFT + DELETE on the keyboard.

Right click on the task bar at the bottom beside start, go to properties, click start menu tab, click customize beside the setting you have, then click Clear beside the "remove recently visited websites."
Good information here as well about turning off AutoComplete (the feature that fills in what it thinks you're trying to type) http://www.andyrathbone.com/tips/autocomplete.html Last edited by Lasereth; 04-29-2008 at 10:59 AM.. Reason: Automerged Doublepost |
