Wireless keyboard and mouse problem
I just got a wireless keyboard and mouse delivered to my doorstep a few hours ago. It is an IOGEAR kb and mouse set model #GKM541RA.
I was following the directions to set it up perfectly until I plugged in the USB connection from the wireless receiver to my laptop. My computer was supposed to recognize the new hardware but it didn't. No error message no nothing. I tried switching it to another USB connection and also restarted my computer with no success. I assume the IOGEAR set is just faulty. I am running a Vista OS. Is there anything I can do to diagnose or fix the problem. If I return it I have to pay the f%$*ing shipping and handling so I would like to fix it. Thanks. |

Even though IOGEAR lists it as vista compatible; I'd blame it on Vista. do you have any other computers you can test it on?

I thought if it was a problem with Vista the tech support guy would have mentioned something...oh well. |

even with the other person having vista, it's still worth a shot since it will be a different configuration.

Hey guys,
I posted last week about the wireless mouse and keyboard set not working. Since then the company sent me a new set. It ended up being a hardware issue. Anyway, on the new set, the keyboard works perfectly but the mouse is not working at all. I assume its not receiving the signal from the emitter because it has sufficient power. The model number is GKM541RA. I press and hold the connect button for a few seconds and even tried it for 30 seconds, and nothign still. Do you have any suggestions? |

... a sort of licensed troubleshooter.

I've been using the Microsoft Wireless Notebook Laser Mouse 6000 for about a year now and it's the best wireless mouse I've ever used. I've had the Mighty Mouse from Apple and several Logitech mice, but my current mouse blows them out of the water.
