Background Picture on Vista
I am trying to get a picture to be centered as my background on my computer with Vista.
The picture takes up the entire screen, and that makes some icons hard to see. When I go to the settings, it shows that I have selected the "center" option, but it still shows the picture on the "full" screen. Any advice would be appreciated. |
Are the picture dimensions so large that when displayed, it's dimensions cover the entire desktop? Have you tried reducing the dimensions of the picture in photoshop (or some other photoeditor)?

For picture reduction I recommend Faststone Image Viewer, it has tools for advanced features for size reduction, at least it looks better (and creates better JPGs I figure since it makes larger JPGs).

I will try these recommendations. But the same picture works perfectly on 3other computers running Windows XP, when I go the the properties section of the monitor.

Well, I got it to work. I had to first save the picture to my computer, then opened the picture and set it as the background.
Thanks again for all of your advice. |
