Installed XP pro service pack 2 on my hp compaq desktop 7600 pentium 4 1MB ram and i get no sound out to the speakers. I know it worked after i tried linux Ubuntu for testing purposes. The wife and kids want windows back, messenger etc. What do I need to check install/unistall to get the sound back, any ideas from the gurus. Thanks.

of course make sure that it is for the exact model of your HP desktop. The one I linked is for the HP Compaq dc7600 Ultra-slim Desktop PC
