any good 'free' antivirus programs?
Hi there, now that avg is a paid service, i'm wondering if anyone recommends other free antivirus software that works?

AVAST
(and please learn to use the search function) ;) |
AVG is still free. If you go to http://free.grisoft.com/ , see there where is says FREE BASIC PROTECTION, and then subsequently also gives you a download link right below it? Yeah, still free and still great!

AVG is still free
http://free.grisoft.com/doc/2/ it just gives you the basic virus protection with no extras, tech support, firewall, etc. |
Hi, I use ClamAV. There is a windows version called ClamWIN. http://www.clamwin.com/
|
clamwin does not have an on access scanner, only scheduled scans.

True, but it does have an Outlook plug-in. I look forward to it having an on-access scanner though!
