Must do something with these paperweights(SGI machines)
Okay, the time has come. I must do something with my O2 and Indigo2 that are just sitting in my closet collecting a lot of dust. I've had them for years, but do to some minor complications I've never done anything with them. The O2 requires a special monitor hookup. I have an SGI monitor but it has a very strange connector which doesn't hook to the O2. The O2 has a VGA out connector but when I hook it up to a regular PC monitor it is ate up. Looks like the O2 doesn't output a sync-on-green signal or something.
My question is basically, can I do anything with these? Run a server or something? Are they useless? Perhaps they'd be useful to others. Should I sell them? Do YOU want one? I'm curious. Come talk with me about it. |
I had an origin 2000 setting around for a while but I threw it away about a month ago. That was the best thing I had done with it.... A friend did make a keyring out of the CPU though.

Keep it. It'll be worth something one day.

lol, those are hilarious replies. Probably good advice though. I got offered $25 for the O2. Craziness. Apparently nobody has any use for these any more.

How funny!
The Millenium Dome in London is now called the "O2" and there is a smaller venue aside it called the "Indigo2". Coincidence, or someone having a laugh? http://www.theindigo2.co.uk http://www.theo2.co.uk |
Wow, very weird. Funny though.
