winamp and volume controls
hey everyone!
I have a pretty stupid problem with my computer: the winamp volume controls my wav volume. so if i decide to listen to a song on a low volume(20%), in a game, it will also be 20%. usually too low for a game. how can i make my winamp controls independent from windows? running windows XP pro. winamp 5.3 onboard soundcard. it's an asus motherboard. any help would be greatly apreciated! |
I'd guess at a bad file association. Can you reinstall winamp?
|
I could. but it's happening on every computer i've used. the volume gets all fucked and ends up controlling the main WAV volume.
ok, i know the problem now. when I switch to "classic winamp", it somehow gets the volume from the WAV volume control of windows. and when i switch back to the modern look, it stays that way. removing the program with every setup file seemed to do the job. no more classic mode for me. |
Hey Mex, I think I have the situation going on with my Realplayer Plus media player; the thing is, I don't really care to change the volume on the so much as volume to the speakers. If you could figure out how to solve this problem, it would be a big help. For now, I'll just use WMP or iTunes.

solution: stop using real player.
have you tried real alternative? (it's basically Mediaplayer classic for real format) http://www.free-codecs.com/download/...lternative.htm |
