KBoot question (Linux on a PS3)

I apologize for such a simple question, but I'm having a bitch of a time finding any decent documentation for kboot!

I installed Gentoo onto the PS3, but forgot to modify the kboot.conf file to boot into the correct resolution. After a few seconds at the prompt, it continues to boot into Gentoo, but because I didn't change the resolution, my TV blanks out.

I need to know how I can either boot from the CD again or edit the kboot.conf files on the Gentoo install. Thing is, I don't know how to get it to boot from the LiveCD again after the install. I read something somewhere about kboot detecting the .conf on the filesystem and will use that instead of the one on the CD.. but not sure how to tell it "use this, not that."

Many thanks in advance to anyone who can help
