Computer won't power up
It's hard to describe except to say that my computer is getting power, but won't actually start up.
Essentially, when I turn on the power supply (in the back), the LED on the motherboard will light up and stay lit, but when I actually push the power button, nothing happens. I've checked the connections to the motherboard, and I will be checking the power switch connections again shortly. The motherboard is connected securely and there's no popping or anything that would lead me to believe there's a short. Any ideas as to how to diagnose what's causing the problem? |

Oh boy, could be anything, a bad switch, a bad power supply, a loose connection, etc, etc. Make sure all connections are firmly seated...first, then let us know.

that is a bad power supply or a corupted cpu. I've had both and they seem to do the same. if your power suply is less than 400, i suggest upgrading to something like a 430 or 450w. They're not that expensive so if that's not the problem, then it's not a big deal. It's possible you need to replace your cpu. if it's still on warranty, check it out.
good luck with all that!
