Dell Printer on a Mac

Hi all, just got a new MBP beauty and I love her. I am new to mac having switched from the PC world; however, I would still like to use my old PC printer. It is a Dell All in One 924. I want to install it on my mac but from what I am reading dell printers are not compatible with macs. Is this true?

Yeah, looking at the Dell website, it looks like you're out of luck. I have an HP All-In-One, and love it. It works great with my Mac, and also works well with my AirPort. I love sitting in my living room and printing to the printer in my office. =) Plus, you can pick one up for about $100-$150. Good luck.

the key here is DRIVERS, and more than likely there are no DELL printer drivers for Macs, someone I found via google stated one of their IT guys got it to work , but I cannot locate such drivers.

good luck

Try Lexmark drivers.

Yep, that seems to be the Lexmark Z615. (Remember, none of the box assemblers really make more than labels and manuals.) The picture is wrong but their MacOS driver is here.

BTW, congratulations on the new baby!

I dont know if the z615 is the same printer. From what I see online about it, it appears as if that isnt an all in one printer. The Dell 924 is an all in one.

You're right. My bad. I'm googling a bit and don't see any current Lexmarks that look similar. Maybe the X 2470, but it doesn't have a display. It might be built to spec for Dell which could mean there isn't a matching driver without munging product strings. I'd still try a few of their AIO drivers to see if it's recognized.
