Cheap way to get ringtones?
My new Samsung phone came with crappy ringtones. I think they did it on purpose so people would have to buy new ringtones. So, my question is, are there any websites that offer free ringtones (with no hidden fees or renewing monthly contracts)? Or can I get a usb data cable and upload my own music to the phone?

Uploading the music from your PC with a data cable would be the easiest - it's what I use with my SE W810i. Another data transfer option is to do it via bluetooth, provided you have a USB bluetooth dongle.
I'm not familiar with any websites but I'm sure if you googled 'Free ringtones' you'd get a shitload of results. Good luck. :) |
I'd say get a data cable and Bitpim (or whatever phone tools the Samsung phone may support) because there is much more you can do with it besides ringtones depending on the phone.

I've heard good things about Xingtone. It's a program that allows you to create your own ringtones from MP3s and upload them. One time charge of $20, but there's a trial to allow you to create one for free. (I've never used it; my phone is so cheap it only has monophonic ringtones.)
