				Max CPU speed for motherboard?
I have a MSI K7T266Pro2. http://www.msicomputer.com/product/d...el=K7T266_Pro2 The specs say I can go to a 1900+XP, does that mean I'm limited to that to a 1900mhz XP? Is there a way to put a faster XP chip in the motherboard? I just read that half life 2 wants a 2 ghz system, I don't mind spending 60 dollars to turn my 1500xp to a 2000+ghz system. -happymaan |

| Crazy Location: to the right of the Coral Sea | An XP 2000+ is not really 2GHz. You should probably find out what Half Life 2 really needs before you spend any money. If Sierra has a system spec. they might specify it separately for Athlon and for Pentium4. You might even not have to upgrade at all.

| On the edge of control Location: Ga | Check and see if you have a bios update for your board somtimes the updated bios will let you run higher cpus but athlon xp's dont run at the speed on the box its just a pr rating amd is basicly saying that a 1900 or what ever does the same amount of work as a p4 1900 |
