Computer Crash NOOOO! - Tilted Forum Project Discussion Community

hey!
I was doing some 3d and my pc froze. someone was trying to print at the same time through my computer. (i have the only colour printer in the house). at the same time, it froze. now it wont boot.
i hear it boot a bit (all the fans start up) and the motherboard LED are up. right now, i dont get any video to my monitor(i tried with another so it`s not that) also the keyboard and mouse dont have any lights. so should I assume that my motherboard fried?

If you had a similar problem or if you know how to fix this, even how to do some do some troubleshooting, i would love some answer!

i think i`ll have to bring it in for a fix but i`d rather not to save some $.

Sounds like something burnt out but... you can try opening it up and making sure all the connections and cards are nice and tight. never know something might of just worked its way loose. Could try pulling out the battery off the motherboard for a few min and putting it back in to see if it resets the bios. Really doubt that will help but it couldnt hurt. Might want to disconnect the printer. Maybe that shorted out when they tried to print and its messing with the rest of the computer. Really doubt thats it too but never know and it cant hurt to try.

well i brought it in.i'll let you all know what happened when i get the results.

im running on a backup pc now. i can barely do anytthing.

they found the problem.
turns out the CPU fried. good thing it was still under waranty! :>
i think i'll get some sort of cooling for this pc right away! i dont want it over heating again!
