i recently had to reboot my computer and im trying to reinstall all of my old programs. im trying to reinstall media center and i cant find my product key. anyone know where i can download a product key or find one online?
thanks |
If the old copy is functional you can run a key extraction program. Or pray it's on the case. Or: http://buycheapsoftware.com/. But you probably knew that.

this is not a warez board, please dont ask for warez, however, cyrnel is right, they key extraction program can work magic.
cyrnel can you mount the hives from an old system and have it search those? |
It should work but I don't know if MJB can do it. Should just be about flexibility and listening to the user vs. hardcoded handholding.

Two, as far as I know, MCE is only available on pre-packed machines. Dells, HP, and other manufacturers who certify their hardware. As such, their MCE install is likely "SLP" - check it out online.. If your hardware matches, you shouldn't need a key. And if you do, it's a sticker stuck to the box, or laptop. |
