ignoring read errors w/ copying
One thing that has always bugged me, and I hope there is a way to get around it, is the way Windows just gives up copying a batch of files if it comes across a single read error.
I've a data dvd with thousands of files that I am trying to copy to my hd, but because there are some read errors, XP just stops in the middle of copying. I wish it would just ignore the file it can't copy and keep going. Is there a way to accomplish this, perhaps from the command prompt?

Never done this, but searching for xcopy gives:
/c : Ignores errors. Might be what you're looking for. Full xcopy description here: http://www.microsoft.com/resources/d....mspx?mfr=true
