myspace help??

Hey there. well i dont post here that often if not at all. i am a lurker. i mean love this site, its one of my favorites, and i read and read and learn new GREAT things everyday. so i am a myspacer, (is that a bad thing?) I use it to keep in contact with my family and friends, and close friends. so the other day i was searching, oh wait i mean browsing. and i found this myspace page: www.myspace.com/natelube and this guys page is awesome. i would like to get my page to look different like this, and not cliche, but i also dont know jack about html coding or whatever coding he uses. i messaged him and he said something about using pearl. but i dont know that either. so i was wondering if the people at the great TFP could help me make it somewhat different or something like this. i really trust you guys to tell me the truth on the whole thing in the first place. i mean its not a big deal, but i would really like to do this. can anyone help me?
right now my page looks plain jane like this: www.myspace.com/ramiroh

so any help is appreciated. also i dont really like the pre laid out ones that i have seen. only if someone can help me get the ball rolling on this.
thanks and sorry to be such a nuisance.

well thats a good and easy way to set stuff up how you want it but this still has the same "original" layout.
if you look at the /natelube on myspace. thats how i want to have it set up.
thanks for the new website though, that will help others set it up how they want it really easy.

Try doing a Google search for "myspace div overlay"

I'm pretty sure that's the method used on the page you like. You should be able to find a few sites with code that you can download and modify to suit your tastes.

He's using Flash. How he got myspace to put it up there... I dunno. But that's how he's doing it. Google "using Flash on MySpace" and see what you come up with.

Unless there's something on the web that I don't know about, you'll have to make the flash on your computer, publish it as a movie (.swf file) and then upload it to MySpace every time you make an entry or whatever. Could be a lot of work... but if you really like talking to people on MySpace then it might be worth it.

He's only using Flash for the top left rectangular area. MySpace lets you embed whatever you want in your profile, so he's embedding a Flash file that he's hosting on his own server. I believe the rest of the page is styled using the div overlay method I mentioned before.

my think is that i really dont like the easy editors that they post on thier for you. i like how this guy sets his page up, and he does it himself i think.
thats what i want to do. if you could view his code and understand what it is, and then point me in the right direction so that i can learn how he did it,and learn it myself.

just use some div overlays I used one from here because I'm too lazy to do one myself

http://www.squidoo.com/myspace_div_overlay/

you can also get a decent one here

http://www.mikeindustries.com/blog/a...yspace-layouts

use photoshop and then put the code up .. pretty simple.
