IE Stored Password Problem
Does anyone know how to clear a stored password in IE? I was attempting to set up an ftp account on my host for a friend to use. I set it up as a subdirectory under the main directory and I used IE to do a quick test to see if it was up and working. When I typed in the username and password to access I clicked the saved password box without thinking. Now when I try to log onto the main directory using IE it tells me I do not have permission to access. I assume this is because I saved the other username and password but unfortunately it does not give me the option to enter the correct info.
I don't use IE for access very much but I have found that it is quicker for uploading large files than my preferred ftp client (WiseFTP) so it would be nice to be able to set it right again. Anyone know how to clear the stored info? |

Try the following - this will delete ALL passwords though
Tools > Internet Options > Content > AutoComplete > Clear Passwords An alternative might be to just hardcode the username and password into the link you are using - ftp://username:password@server/optio...al_directories Example - ftp://ilovebacon:baconisgood@bacon4ever.com
