firefox issues
firefox used to run great on my system, until today. Earlier today I plugged my cell phone into my computer, it installed as a modem, and there after firefox can't get to any web page, only displaying 'Server not found.' IE works fine, opera works fine, even mozilla, just not firefox. I’ve uninstalled the cell phone, I’ve uninstalled firefox, removed every thing related to firefox from the registry and tried to reinstall it, after reinstalling it, it still will not work, I am out of ideas. Please help.

Is the system proxy setting (not used by FF) allowing everything else to work?
Are you sure the about:config list is reset? At least the network set? Otherwise perhaps some remnant wasn't uninstalled? Any extensions still there that you'd expect not to be? Extensions-from-hell can lead to doozy "it won't work" headaches. Oh, did it work with phone-as-modem? I couldn't be certain. |
