i am using a palm TX and was looking for good FREE software for it... does anyone know of any good free games for palm 5.x or any AIM or instant messenger programs that are free??


also, how do i delete apps?

Go to http://www.palmgear.com. Lots of free and commercial apps for the downloading there.

To delete, go to the application browser, tap in the top to bring up the menu bar, and under "App" choose "Delete". It'll bring you up a list of files on the device to delete.

Also, read up at 1src.com ; it is the best forum for Palm-based handhelds that I've found. There's a TX-specific subforum.

What kind of games? Puzzle, card, action?

Me too, but a lot of what's there is Treo-specific and either won't work or isn't appropriate for a TX.

i've downloaded a version of battleship... a spin off of tetris that had no close button, i had to reset my palm or insert the sync cable to get the game off my screen! i also got the 7 level version of lemmings.. for such an old game, it's annoying that you cant even get half the levels without spitting out more money than what the game sold for to begin with...


i found the programs that let you use your palm as a IR remote... you can make your palm like a universial remote control for your tv an stuff... lol, but the program costs more than a real remote, they look fun atleast

Well then, try Freeware Palm. They throw a lot of popups, even in Firefox. I don't know if they try anything else. However, it's the best list of Palm freeware, including games.

Most palm apps don't have an explicit "close" button. The way you exit them is by hitting the "home" hardkey.

the home button was controling one of the functions of the game, as well as the other buttons on the bottom. i tried everything i could think of lol. the game sucked anyway so i deleted it!
