I was surprised when my tfp search for this came up with nothing. I was wondering if anyone at TFP has been following the development of the Optimus keyboard. Click here to see offical site It's a keyboard where each key is a programable display. The keys can be dynamically altered to display anything from foreign language keyboard layouts to custom keyboard icons for Battlefield 2 or you favorite FPS. The full size keyboard has not entered production yet and the price has only been hinted at....(I'm guessing $400-500 dollars), but they are taking pre-orders for the three key function pad. I am so tempted to order a 3-key, it looks like the ultimate Geek-Gear! I can think of so many applications of this technology from business and industrial to entertainment!

Yes, it's very cool. The three-key isn't in pre-order, either... it's been available for 2 months now I believe. I've had to fight myself NOT to get one. I badly want one of the full-size keyboards when they become available, but I'm not sure I can swallow the cost of it. We shall see...

We did talk about it before but I think most people blew it off as an item that would never become a reality. I forgot all about it but it is good to see that they are still working on it.

Yea, I remember this too. I'm glad to see that there is some development still going on, because I seriously want one.
