AIM away message tracking?
Does anyone know if there's a way to track who is reading your away messages in AOL instant messenger/GAIM/trillian/whatever else on the AIM network? I've done a bit of Googling and can't turn anything up...

Aside from sticking a link in it, and monitoring clicks, no.
Just curious. why? |
you can do it with ICQ, but not AIM. i was curious about earlier this year as well, after reading something about it for a GAIM add-on, but it turned out it was for when you log onto ICQ from on GAIM...

Some of those online profile page things allow you to do this. Don't bother asking me for any more info though because I don't know - it's been awhile since I've seen them and I've never particularly cared for them.

This is one of the reasons I don't use IM services.
big brother is always watching... |
Bah, that's pretty much what I was thinking. I'm surprised no one has at least tried it, but then again, it may not be possible using a centralized protocol like AIM.
Lemme know if anyone does find anything though... |
