Is there a site where you can store files/images, and the site gives you a link on which you can click and you see the file. For now, I'm looking to put some images up, so image-specific sites would be fine. I'm looking for free sites.
Online photo albums, atleast the few I checked out, don't seem to offer the link option.

So far, when I needed to do it, I would just put the picture on the webspace that my college offered me, but soon I will graduate, and that will no longer be an option. Free webspace could be an option, what's a decent site that offers that, with no requirements on the type of page maintained?

Flickr has many options to link to your picture, not files though.

I use both flickr and photobucket.

I use flickr for the pictures that I like to share with others. Their interface is just better for that.

I use photobucket for when I want to link random images, not neccessarily my own, to TFP or other websites. It's good for that, IMO.
