I'm thinking of using my birthday money to buy a DVD recorder, & I want to know what's the best around $200.

So far these are what I'm looking at:

I bought a DVDirect from Sony.

It's a wonderful device but not like the VCR types. It could be used on your PC and has RCA jacks, SVideo and Firewire (IIRC)
