One of the more interesting mods I've ever seen. My only thought is the bottle is more insulating than a regular computer case, so overheating must be an issue here. However since it's so small, perhaps the bottle could be dropped inside something else to keep it cool, a bar fridge perhaps?

Besides the Millenium Falcon X-Box, this has to be the cleverest Mod I've ever seen. The image of an open whiskey bottle on the desk next to the keyboard and monitor is priceless.

That's a really neat mod - though I agree with the "it'll overheat pretty quick" comment. Still, it'd give me something to do with the dozen or so bottles of Jack lining my bookshelf

i dont think it will have that much of an over heating problem...
air goes in the hole with the fan and out the open mouth of the bottle... and he's using an older p3 733 not exactly a hot processor ok on the last page he said he did at first... but he put a few small holes around the plugs on the mobo and a fan in the hole and now no problem

That's a good one after all the humidors & kitchen appliances. Functional controller boards are getting pretty small. Kontron has a nice little 3.5" Windows board that will run a 1.8GHz Pentium M, with video, usb, enet, even a built-in Type-1 CF socket, for about 40W total in a 10x15cm space.
Look around the house. If you can fit a 3.5" drive inside, it can be a computer.
