Buring .ISO files

Ive got several programs that are in a .iso format and I am trying to figure out how to burn them onto cd's so that the program comes out of the .iso file. So far I havnt been able to figure out how to do this and either nothing shows up on the disk (even though something is there) or I just burn the .iso file to the disk with none of the internal files being brought out. Anybody know how to do it.

The way that you do is either you can burn them by going into nero and clicking file burn from a image and then select the iso. Other programs do the same things including roxio, alcohol 120, cdrwin, etc.

Another way is using isobuster to extract all the files out of the file. Not reccomeneded as sometimes the iso has encryption or something that will be lost on the extraction, more of the case in games not as much for programs.

A last alternative is to use dameon tools and a virtual drive. With this you can use the iso as a cd without every burning the file. Once you get dameon tools and run it a virtual cd rom drive will be configured. All you have to do is load the dameon tools and tell it to go the virtual drive. The drive will then act as a normal cd and let you install the program from there without every having to burn the file.

hope this helps

Try this to get a look at the files before you burn them. TIP: You can also extract wav files from a CD with this also!

I tried to do the method with NERO and it didnt work. It did burn something to the disk, but I couldnt see it when I went to explore the disk. The space is taken up, but there was nothing there. Could the .iso file be bad? I also tried the isobuster program, but couldnt really figure it out and it wouldnt really extract the files either.

Hey, just download this program BlindWrite. this is the best program i've found for both burning and ripping ISO file. Easy CD 5, 6 will also do ISO files but I like BlindWrite better. I Also like WinISO, its a good program to look at and make changes to the ISO file before you brun it to CD.
