adobe premiere 6.0 problems - Tilted Forum Project Discussion Community

not sure wtf is wrong, all my video and audio is perfect, i mixed it into the movie on the timeline just fine, .mpg video and .wav file for music.... the individual clips work and appear just fine in the clip window... but when everything is played though the final combination monitor, the video is very cut up an the audio crackles badly.... the video like freezes a second, and jolts to the next second, freezes a second, and jolts to the next second.... and for hte audio, the audio thats cracking is the audio that came with the video... also, i'm not sure if this is normal or not, but there is a black X in a white box with a black outline in it, on the top left area of the one video monitor box...

i didnt put in affects in or anything.... i rendered it into a .avi movie and it had the same effects, then i rendered it into a tiny 10meg super compressed wmv file to see if it was my computer bogging, but that had the same problems apperent in it.....

video was made in a standard 48kHz DV- NTSC preset file, video imported was mpg's from a sony handycam mini dvd camcorder...

any help would be helpful..

You need to render. The X in the top corner of your preview monitor means that you have not rendered your video. Depending on your keyboard layout try pressing shift+enter. if a render que pops up it worked . if not then go to project>render project

i figured that all out, but i was still getting crappy video output.... i played arond with it for awhile, deleted render files, and re-rendered....

i ended up taking my source video and downloading it to another computer with a different version of peremiere and then i re-edited and rendered it there
